Where is this? If you know, or have any ideas, please email us at (and be sure to include the phrase NORFOLK GEOGRAPHY in the subject line of your email -- so that it won't get lost amongst spam).
The Library of Virginia identifies these three photos below as "John L. Roper" and "Norfolk, Virginia." It is known that Mr. Roper, whose family members founded and own Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Building (Berkley), was the owner of Fox Hall Dairy and considerable property in and near the Lansdale section of Norfolk -- near Lansdale Circle, Princess Anne Road, and Cape Henry Avenue -- as well as lumber mills throughout Norfolk County and northeastern North Carolina. Perhaps someone recognizes the farmhouse pictured in the top two photographs. Though similar looking, the location of the third photo appears to be different from that of the top two.
