Brushwood at Moore's Bridges
(For more Norfolk geography tidbits, click here.)
"To the highest bidder, the farm, furniture, horse, carts, plows, etc. will be sold without reserve, to the highest bidder, on the premises, Wednesday the 28th day of December, at 12 o'clock, the farm, called Brushwood, situated just at Moore's Bridges, 4 and 1/2 miles from Norfolk, on the Princess Anne Road. It contains about 89 acres of cleared land and partly ploughed for next season, well fenced, and the land in excellent condition. The house is new and contains four rooms. It is extra good trucking land. About 1/4 of a mile from Brushwood is 20 acres of wood land which will be sold with Brushwood. Any one wanting a nice little truck farm not far from the city, will find this a good time to buy as it will be sold positively; after the sale of the farm every thing on it will be sold. It has a good landing on Broad Creek. Terms for the farm: 1/4 cash, balance in one year, carrying interest. For the personal effects, cash. William Unwin, James Unwin, Jas. G. Pollard, Auctioneer."
